Downtown Seattle for the Holidays

Being in the heart of downtown Seattle definitely has its perks: you're surrounded by the finest restaurants, shopping entertainment venues, museums and attractions, not to mention beautiful views of Elliot Bay. So while you’re out and about this holiday season, be sure to drop into our lobby and grab a cup of hot cider before venturing out to enjoy the high-energy vibe of downtown Seattle.

Did you know that the Red Lion Hotel Fifth Avenue was once the site of the Blue Mouse Theatre? Not only are we located in the heart, but some say the soul of the city. Just two blocks from the ACT Theatre, the holidays just wouldn’t be the same without taking in a rendition of Dickens’ classic tale, A Christmas Carol. In addition, we are literally steps away from the famous 5th Avenue Theater where they are also showcasing another Dickens favorite, Oliver!

There is no better or more convenient location than the Red Lion Hotel on Fifth Avenue to serve as your home base for holiday shopping. This is shopping central – with Macy’s, Nordstrom and a host of boutiques along the way; and don’t forget to visit Pacific Place for their nightly indoor snow experience. Every night at 6 p.m., snow falls from the top of the atrium. And if that doesn’t get you in a festive mood for holidays, nothing will.

For more information visit Holidays in Seattle, or if you need that personal touch, stop by and say hello to our lovely concierge, Susan McDaniels. She will be happy to assist you with your holiday escape to Downtown Seattle while you sip on that hot cup of cider.
